Finance Minister Bwalya Ng’andu has revealed a K119 billion proposed National Budget for 2021 – unsurprisingly, there is some attention given to Coid-19 pandemic and its impact on the economy. There is some favorable changes included for the Agriculture and Tourism industries. The Minister of Finance has raised the exemption threshold for Pay-As-You Earn to K4, 000 from K3, 300 per month, which will bring some small tax relief to those earning monthly salaries in that range.
